Children wash hands with staff and are seated at tables. Breakfast is offered to other children as they arrive.

If we are playing inside, kids move about the rooms, participating in activities of their choosing, with playmates of their choosing. Staff are responsive and interactive, greeting each child as they enter their room. If we are playing outside, we have staff and toys in all play areas. Kids move about the yard, interacting with our toys/equipment, playmates, and staff, in ways that are meaningful to them. Children may also come into the Table Room if they need a break from outdoor play. We spend part of our spring months, and most of our summer and fall months playing outside, as weather permits.

Snack is served to small groups as they wake up from their nap. As children finish their snack, they join their friends for afternoon play.

If we are inside, we close program rooms as children and staff go home for the day and we wind down with books in the Front Room. If we are outside, we pick up the play area and wind down with outdoor book baskets on our outdoor pillows and benches.
